Abi Gezunt: Molly's Cautionary Tale performed by Isle of Klezbos & Friends, featuring guest vocal duo Rachel Weston & Annie Cohen; music video created by Alona Bach. This song is based on lesser-known lyrics by Molly Picon from the ironing board scene in her 1938 film Mamele as reinterpreted on track 5 of our new album, Yiddish Silver Screen. You can find all the transliteration /translation in the YouTube notes as well as our album's booklet whether online or in CD pages. > watch on YouTube
Me Git a Bisl, Me Nemt a Bisl ("You Give a Little, You Take a Little") performed by Isle of Klezbos & Friends. The music is adapted from the soundtrack of 1937 film "Der Lebediker Yosem" (The Lively Orphan) aka "Mayn Zundele" -- My Son/Sonny Boy; the uncredited song was originally sung by actor Jacob Zanger. He used Litvish [Lithuanian Yiddish] 'sabesdike losn' dialect pronunciation for his comic/earnest movie character, which we have kept in our version. >watch on YouTube
